Congratulations to all designers, 'The Spirit of The Black Dress' Founder Tullia Jack, Jane Hayes and supporters for putting together such a wonderful exhibition. One we hope to see again at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2010.

Georges, one of Melbourne's finest fashion establishments, shone with brilliant chandeliers, red carpet and original 1800's Georges signage. Ten stunning dresses were displayed thoughout - each complimented with photographs of models emphasising the beauty of each piece and descriptions providing insight into the vision and aesthetic of each designer.

Designers, stylists, media and industry professionals attended the opening. The vibe was one of enthusiasm and support for the represented designers Airdrie Makim & Claire Djuve, Alyana Eau, Andy Tsang, Kristy Barber, Leigh Buchannon, Michelle Czech, Nikolina Kucan, Noelle Kan, Rachael Cassar and Sonya Kraan and all involved in this inspiring exhibition.

'The Spirit of the Black Dress' ran from Tuesday 1 September until Sunday 6 September 2009.
